Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox both have built-in pop-up blocking that will prevent the 890 ESPN Listen live player from working.

In addition, 3rd party toolbars such as Google Toolbar include pop-up blocking that will prevent the player from working.

Lastly, some antivirus/anti-spyware software also includes pop-up blocking features which may affect the player. If you cannot launch the player, you will need to make sure pop-ups are allowed for www.espnboston.com in all of these places. We do not use any pop-up ads or other applications other than our Listen live player.

Below are instructions for allowing pop-ups in some of the above programs:

Internet Explorer

1. Click on the "Tools" menu and select "Pop-Up BLocker."
2. If "Always Allow Pop-Ups from This Site..." is an option, click it. Internet Explorer will not allow pop-ups. Otherwise, click on "Pop-Up Blocker Settings."
3. In the "Address of Web site to allow" field, type www.espnboston.com and click Add.

Mozilla Firefox

1.  Click Tools, then Options, the select the Content Tab
2. Next to "Block pop-up windows," click the "Exceptions" button.
3. In the "address of Web site" field, type www.espnboston.com and click Allow.

Google Toolbar

1. While on espnboston.com, click on the Google Toolbar pop-up blocker button. The button will change from showing you the number of pop-ups that have been blocked to showing "Popups okay."
